Workshops
Throughout each semester, a number of meetings are held to educate interested members in various technical aspects and topics such as portrait, landscape and tabletop photography, as well as mounting prints. For people who have not used a darkroom before or have forgotten how, we offer workshops to teach member how to develop their own B&W film as well as make enlargements.
Bulk Film
In an effort to reduce costs for members, the photo club buys black and white film in bulk to sell to its members at cost. We have 125 and 400 ISO film available in 24 or 36 rolls. Please inquire if you are looking for a specifc brand.
Field Trips
Occasionally, the group makes field trips to various locations in and around Winnipeg such as assiniboine park, St. Norbert Monestary and downtown.
Maskwa Retreat
An annual event, the photo club organizes a weekend winter retreat to a cabin in Maskwa, Manitoba to get to know other members better, and to take great photographs of the serene Manitoba landscapes in winter. Bring your snowshoes and X-country skis!
